HEY ANGLERS…New regs as of Nov. 15..all the area lakes are NOW closed…Here is a link to current updates http://www.dfg.ca.gov/regulations/FreshFish-Mar2012/ccr-t14-ch3-art3.html
we had a great end at Crowley…3 days of shore fishing and nothing under 16 inches!! Joes biggest trout coming in at 21 (rainbow hen) and Jules got a nice 20 inch ‘bow Monday on her FIRST cast!!
Im sure if you are watching the news, you know we are just starting a series of storms that will drop 3-5 feet of snow here in Mammoth!
If you have to fish….stick with the Lower Owens or Pleasant Valley Reservoir. http://stevenojai.tripod.com/pleasvalley.htm has a great bit of info on PV and links to other, more specific reports on the area.
We are planning a trip down there for “Family FUN Day” something Jules has put together for Anglers and their kids to get out and enjoy the great outdoors together. On the agenda this week we are starting out our day , carb indulging at the local bakery…then off for a few hours of fishing with the kids at the Lower Owens…followed by a good, long soak at the Hot Springs http://www.keoughshotsprings.com/
Jules is using us a lab rats to make sure these trips are family friendly and fun…and will be posting them here soon, in the hopes that you too can get your family outdoors in the Sierra sunshine!
